Overview
This article serves as a guide for club admins on how they can bulk upload physical tickets sold to Foireann and edit the details of a sold physical ticket for the National Club Draw. Please note, that you cannot edit the details of tickets purchased through Foireann (online).

Bulk uploading tickets
1. Log into your Foireann account and navigate to the 'Administration' section on the left-side menu.
2. Go to the 'Draws' tab.
3. You will see a list of the active draws taking place in your club. Click on the 'View All Draws' button.
4. Click the 'Get template file' button and a . CSV file will start downloading to your device.

Below is an example of how you should layout your bulk upload file
- ticket_number = This should match the 'Ticket Number' column on your allocated ticket. For example, in the screenshot of Foireann above the first ticket number starts at 12000, so you should match the number from the physical ticket sold and add it to your bulk file for the status to update on Foireann
- name = The name of the person who purchased the ticket
- street_address = The ticket owner's address
- telephone = The contact number of the ticket owner. This should be formatted as a number and begin with your area code e.g. 353 or 44, dropping any 0's from the start of the number
- purchase_date = The date the ticket was purchased in the format of DD/MM/YYYY
5. When your. CSV is ready for upload return to Foireann, click on the 'Upload' button and submit your file.
6. Another .CSV file will automatically download to your device to show you the status of each of the records added to the bulk upload. If any of the records have a 'FAILED' status an error message will appear for that record in the errors column. For example, 'ticket_number not found' if the ticket number entered does not match with any of the ticket numbers allocated to your club.
7. You will then be able to see the newly added details to the tickets you uploaded.
Editing the details on a ticket
Club admins can edit the details of a physical ticket added to Foireann i.e. name, address, phone number and purchase date.
Once you have bulk-uploaded your sold tickets you can edit the details of the tickets in case any of them are incorrect, or changed since the purchase date, or if payment for the ticket was not received.
1. To do this click the 'Edit' on a ticket you have uploaded using the bulk upload feature.
2. Make whatever changes you like and click the 'Update' button to save any changes made.
3. If someone has not paid for their ticket or does not want one anymore you can follow the steps to edit the ticket details and click the 'Remove' button and that will deallocate that ticket from that person and it will be free to allocate to someone else.
How to use copy and paste
Once you have either uploaded sold tickets from the bulk upload function or manually added tickets using the 'Edit' button, you will see a 'Copy' button.
When you click on 'Copy' it will copy the details of that ticket i.e. name, address, phone number and purchase date and you will be able to paste it on any available ticket by clicking on the 'Paste' button.
This will update the ticket with the pasted details as you can see from the example below.
Note: there is no limit to the number of tickets you can paste. The reason for this is that draw entrants may have the same details, for example, father and son, so it is the responsibility of club admins to monitor this and ensure members are not receiving more tickets than they should be. |
