How to refund draw tickets

Overview

This article guides club admins on the process of issuing refunds for tickets purchased for the National Club Draw through Foireann. Please note that refunds for tickets purchased outside Foireann (offline) must be processed through offline channels. 

Before proceeding, ensure that your club maintains an active Stripe account. If your club does not currently have a Stripe account, refer to the Setting up a Foireann-linked Stripe account article for guidance. For more information on managing your Foireann-linked Stripe account, please consult the Stripe section within the Foireann Help Centre.

Clubs that have an active Stripe account will automatically enable online sales for the National Club Draw.

Accessing the draw

1. Log into your Foireann account and navigate to the 'Administration' section on the left-side menu.

2. Go to the 'Draws' tab

3. You will see a list of the active draws taking place in your club.  Click on the 'View All Draws' button.

Refunding tickets

4. Select the 'View' button on the ticket you want to refund.

Note: offline tickets (tickets sold outside of Foireann) must be refunded offline, not on Foireann

5. A popup model will appear with details of the ticket owner, click the 'Refund' button.  

Note: You cannot refund individual tickets; if you are issuing a refund it is for all tickets purchased in that order.  For example, if you select one of John's tickets from the image above and issue a refund it will refund all 3 tickets John purchased.

6. Once you 'Confirm' the refund of the tickets purchased in that order, it will be updated to a 'Refunded' status.
