Promoting the National Club Draw in your club

Overview

This article is a guide for club admins on how they can share the draw through different channels such as social media and hard copies around the club. 

Please note before continuing that you must have online sales enabled to share your draw online.  For your club to be enabled for online ticket sales you must have an active Stripe account.  If your club does not currently have a Stripe account, refer to the Setting up a Foireann-linked Stripe account article for guidance. For more information on managing your Foireann-linked Stripe account, please consult the Stripe section within the Foireann Help Centre.

Clubs that have an active Stripe account will automatically enable online sales for the National Club Draw.

Sharing the draw online

One of the great advantages of the National Club Draw is that anyone can take part, you do not need to be affiliated to a club.  Because of this, club admins have the ability to share the draw to their own social media accounts to try to reach as many people as possible.

1. Log into your Foireann account and navigate to the 'Administration' section on the left-side menu.

2. Go to the 'Draws' tab.

3. You will see a list of the active draws taking place in your club.  Click on the 'View All Draws' button.

4. Click on 'Share Links & QR Code'.

5. A pop-up will appear where you will be able to either copy the URL link to enter the draw or download the QR code as. PNG file.  Click the 'copy' icon to copy the URL for the draw.

Note: you must have online sales enabled to share your draw URL and QR code

Using the draw QR code

Follow the same steps as above to access the draw administration tab.

1. Click on 'Share Links & QR Code'.

2. A pop-up will appear where you will be able to either copy the URL link to enter the draw or download the QR code as . PNG file.  Click the 'Download QR Code' button and the QR will download to your device.

Note: if the file doesn't start downloading automatically you may need to change your browser settings

How members can enter the draw

Below is an example of what a non-club admin will see when they scan your club's draw QR code or click on the draw URL.  

They will be brought to the Foireann login page where they can register (if they do not already have a Foireann account) or log into their regular Foireann account.  

If they have to register an account they will have to complete their profile as normal i.e. enter their details and add the club to their profile.  Once completed they can navigate to the 'Home' section and click on the 'Enter Draw' button or scan the QR code/open the link again and they will be brought to the ticket purchase screen.

If they are already logged into their Foireann account before scanning the QR code or opening the draw link they will be brought directly to the ticket purchase page with the details pre-populated from their Foireann account.
