How to apply
1. Log into your Foireann account and navigate to the 'Home' section
As a club administrator, you will see a space for 'Actions' just under your membership details in the 'Home' section. The 'Actions' space is for the different surveys and applications your club should complete e.g. Child Safeguarding Risk Assessment, Club Compás, Energy Support Scheme, and the GAA Development Fund. |
2. Scroll through your 'Actions Required' list until you see 'GAA Development Fund'
The model gives some information on what the GAA Development Fund is with a link to 'What is the GAA Development Fund?'. This article covers the terms and conditions of the loans and the important application timelines.
3. To start the application click on the 'Start' button.
NOTE: Applications for the GAA Development Fund open on 01/12/2024 and close on 31/01/2025. |
4. If any of your club details are incorrect at the top of the application e.g. wrong club crest or postcode/eircode click on the 'Update Details' button.
For more information on updating your club's details on Foireann see Managing your Club on Foireann
5. You do not need to complete the application in one sitting you can save your progress and pick it up at a later date by using the 'Save As Draft' button at the bottom right corner of the page
or the bottom of the application.
6. If you have your application in progress but want to change your answers after greater discussion in your club for example, you can use the 'Start Over' button at the bottom of the application and it will remove all of your answers, allowing you to start again instead of manually going through the application and updating your answers.
7. Once you are happy with your answers for the GAA Development Fund you can submit your application by clicking the 'Proceed to Review' button at the bottom of the application.
8. Review your answers, once happy, click the 'Confirm & Submit' button to send it to your County for review.
Application review process
When you submit your application the status will update to 'Pending Review'.
The review process will begin in February 2025 with applications being reviewed at the County level, if approved it will be reviewed at the Provincial level and if successful there will be a final review by the National Finance Management Committee.
