Overview
This is a guide for Club Children's Officers (CCO) on reviewing and confirming Access NI vetting applicants' identity within their club on Foireann.

Accessing Vetting Applications
Log into your Foireann account and go to 'Administration' on the left-side navigation menu.
Click on the 'Vetting Applications' tab in the Administration section.
You will see a table of both Access NI (Paid & Voluntary) and Garda vetting applications submitted to your club.
Note: The 'Type' column can be used to differentiate the types of vetting applications |
As a CCO known as a Vetting Admin on Foireann you have to respond to applications that are 'Awaiting Review'.
Accepting Vetting Applications
To do this, click on 'View' to the right of the application
When you click 'View' a pop-up box will appear with the details of the vetting application.
To view the documentation uploaded by the applicant, click on the file and it will appear in a new pop-up box. For more information on Access NI evidence requirements click 'here' above the 'Reject' button or see - Identity Validation
Please make sure that the ID documents provided verify the applicant's full name, address and date of birth prior to verification.

Once you have reviewed the applicant's documentation click the 'Validate' button to approve the application. Another box will appear where you can 'Confirm' the documents are correct or 'Cancel' to return to the review screen.
The application status will update from 'Awaiting Review' to 'Validated'. Once an Access NI application is approved the application will be reviewed by Ulster GAA.

Rejecting Vetting Applications
To do this, click on 'View' to the right of the application
When you click 'View' a pop-up box will appear with the details of the vetting application.
To view the documentation uploaded by the applicant, click on the file and it will appear in a new pop-up box. For more information on Access NI evidence requirements click 'here' above the 'Reject' button or see - Identity Validation

If you notice a mistake, missing documentation or any other cause for rejection you can click the 'Reject' button to reject the Foireann Access NI application meaning the applicant will have to apply again via Foireann only. You will have to provide a reason as to why the application has been rejected, the applicant will be notified of this reason.
Once you have provided your rejection reason click the 'Confirm' button.
The application status will update from 'Awaiting Review' to 'Rejected'. The applicant will have to create a new application.
