Managed Leagues / Criss-Cross Competitions

This page is for use in managing the configuration of a Criss-Cross League. It provides the ability to manage the distribution of teams between the League tables configured for a competition.

Pre- Requisite Steps 

NOTE: This functionality is provided to competition users on the system.

Before a League Competition can be configured as a Criss-Cross competition, it must first be created in the normal way (see Add Competition)green.

Create a Criss-Cross Competition

To create a Criss-Cross competition follow these instructions:

• Go to the Managed League page in the Competitions Section
• Click the "Add" button
• Select a Competition Administrator.
  • NOTE: By default the logged in user will be specified in the Competition Administrator drop down list. A different Administrator may be selected from the drop down list.
• Select a competition from the 'Competition to split' drop down. 
  • NOTE: Only League Competitions will be displayed in this list.
• Specify a value from the 'Split into how many Leagues?' drop down list. 
• To add a team to a League Table, select the team in question in the 'Teams in competition' list box and click the 'Add' button for the appropriate League. The team in question will be removed from the 'Teams in competition' list box and added to the appropriate 'League Teams' list box.
• To remove a team from a League, select the team in question in the 'League Teams' list box and click the 'Remove' button. The team in question will be removed from the appropriate 'League Teams' list box and added to the 'Teams in competition' list box.
  • NOTE: A team cannot be added to more than one League table.
• Click the 'Save' button

Manage a Criss Cross Competition

• Go to the Managed Leagues page
• A list of all Criss-Cross League Competitions configured on the system is displayed.
• To delete a Criss-Cross Competition, check the appropriate checkbox and click the delete button
  • NOTE: This deletion function removes the Criss-Cross configuration associated with this competition. It does NOT remove the competition itself from the system.
• To edit a Criss-Cross competition click the Competition Name Link. The 'Update Split League' page will be displayed. 
  • To add a team to a League Table, select the team in question in the 'Teams in competition' list box and click the 'Add' button for the appropriate League. The team in question will be removed from the 'Teams in competition' list box and added to the appropriate 'League Teams' list box.
  • To remove a team from a League, select the team in question in the 'League Teams' list box and click the 'Remove' button. The team in question will be removed from the appropriate 'League Teams' list box and added to the 'Teams in competition' list box.
  • After completing updates click the 'Save' button.
