Managing Membership & Registration

Foireann (Foireann.ie) is the GAA’s new online management system replacing what was previously available in the Games Management System - or Servasport - with a brand new, purpose-built, system providing all of the functionality Members and their Clubs’ are familiar with, plus more, in a simple and intuitive manner.

Additional functionality will be introduced over the coming months, all aimed at providing Club Members with a system that allows them to view and manage their own information as well as choose how they want to interact with the Clubs and Teams they are involved in, through an integrated, easy-to-use application. Everything from knowing when training is on to submitting Health Questionnaires; confirming availability for matches, paying Membership Subscription or managing what communications they wish to receive from the Club will all be made available, plus much much more. 

Membership Functionality

The first phase of Foireann’s rollout, happening throughout October - December 2020, focuses on the area of Membership with the new system replacing all three Servasport Management Systems (people.gaa.ie, people.ladiesgaelic.ie and people.camogie.ie) for all Club Membership and Registration activities. 

The registration functionality within the Servasport Games Management System has now been turned off, and all Member’s data has been moved to Foireann. The old Servasport system will still be accessible, but this will only be for viewing old information (including Member’s Membership History) and you will not be able to add new members or register existing members within the system. 

The membership section of Foireann provides Club Administrators with all the functionality required to manage their Club Membership online, including the option to take payments as either one-off installment or a regular payment schedule over a set period of time. 

In order to facilitate online payment of Membership subscriptions, Club Administrators will need to complete two essential steps:

1. Set-Up Online Payments within the Foireann system, using our electronic payment partner, Stripe (You cannot use an existing Stripe account, your club must create a new Stripe account via Foireann.
2. Create your club specific Membership Options

Once these tasks have been completed, your club members will be able to login to Foireann and pay the relevant Club Membership subscription for themselves or a dependent.

Your Members will be able to select the Membership Option which best suits them or their dependent and make the relevant payment. After the successful transaction, the Member will be registered for the current season. 

If your Club would prefer to collect all payments offline, or in some other process, Club Administrators must still create the Membership Options within Foireann. While we would encourage everyone to review all support guides before and during the Foireann setup process, if this applies to your Club, you might find the guidance within the Membership Options and Member Management documents more beneficial. 

Once your Membership Options have been created, you can register your members for the current season. 

NOTE

As per Rules 2.2, 2.3 and 3.2 of the GAA Official Guide and 5.10 of the GAA Club Constitution, ALL Club Members MUST be registered on the Foireann system. 

As per Rule 49 and 122 of the LGFA Official Guide, ALL Club Members MUST be registered on the Foireann system. 

As per Rules 5.2 and 5.5 of the Camogie Official Guide, ALL Club Members MUST be registered on the Foireann system.
