REMOVE & REVOKE MEMBERSHIP RECORDS
Club members can have more than one membership record listed in their profile, for example, they are a Non-Playing member for their GAA club but also a Player for their LGFA club, therefore, they may have more than one membership record listed in their profile if registered with more than one association.
There are however scenarios whereby the member has two membership records for the same association i.e Playing membership for the GAA and Non-Playing membership for the GAA. This scenario could have risen because either the club member or the club administrator selected the wrong membership option when registering or potentially registered for the same membership option multiple times by accident.
We have now introduced two new features 'Remove' and 'Revoke' which will allow club administrators and/or club members to remove/revoke any erroneous membership records on their profile.
The option to 'Remove' or 'Revoke' will depend on the membership record status (In Progress, Fees Due, Registered etc). It will also differentiate between associations (GAA, LGFA, Camogie) therefore please ensure that you read the information below relating to each association.
REMOVE MEMBERSHIP RECORDS (GAA, LGFA, CAMOGIE CLUBS)
If a Club Member has an 'In Progress' membership record meaning that they have not yet paid their club registration via Stripe nor has their club administrator marked their record as 'Paid', then both the club member and the club administrator can remove the membership record from their profile.
For example, see screenshot below:
1. James Healy has an 'In Progress' membership on his profile.
2. As a club administrator, you can click on the membership record and click the 'Remove' button.
NOTE: For in progress memberships where the payment type is by card (Stripe), the Remove button will only appear 30 minutes after the club member created the membership order i.e they navigated away from the Stripe Checkout.
3. Upon clicking 'Remove', the membership record will be removed from the member's profile.
4. An email will be sent to the user to confirm that their 'In Progress' membership has now been cancelled.
REVOKE MEMBERSHIP RECORDS (GAA CLUBS)
If a Club Member has a 'Registered' membership record meaning that they have paid their club registration via Stripe or their club administrator has manually registered the member then the club administrator is able to 'Revoke' their membership.
For example, see below:
1. Steven McCann has registered with his club however he selected the wrong membership option when registering.
2. Club Administrators can click on the Membership Record, and click the 'Revoke' button.
3. Upon clicking the 'Revoke' button, a message will appear informing you that this action will cancel this member's membership and that it is up to your club to manually issue a refund if required.
4. Click 'Confirm'
5. The member's membership record has now been updated to 'Revoked'
5. The member will receive an email from the Foireann system to inform them that their membership has been 'Revoked'.
REVOKE MEMBERSHIP RECORDS (LGFA & CAMOGIE CLUBS)
If a Club Member has a 'Fees Due' membership record meaning that they have paid their club registration but the club has not yet paid the registration fees to the County, Province and Association then the club administrator is able to 'Revoke' their membership.
For example, see below:
1. Susan McCrudden was manually registered by the club administrator however at the time of bulk registering, the administrator selected the wrong membership option.
2. As an administrator because your club has not yet paid for these registration fees to the County, Province and Association then you can 'revoke' this membership.
3. Click on the Membership Record, and click the 'Revoke' button.
4. Upon clicking the 'Revoke' button, a message will appear informing you that this action will cancel this member's membership and that it is up to your club to manually issue a refund if required.
5. Click Confirm. The member's membership record has now been updated to 'Revoked'
6. The member will receive an email from the Foireann system to inform them that their membership has been 'Revoked'.
NOTE: If a club member is 'Registered' within an LGFA or Camogie club i.e the club has paid the relevant fees to the County, Province and Association then the ability to 'Revoke' the membership record is no longer available at club administrator level and you will need to contact the association to have the membership updated and refund organised.
