How to update membership options for the 2023 season

The following article will outline the steps needed to update the membership options listed within your club from the 2022 season to the 2023 season. This means that club administrators do not have to create new membership options nor manually edit any of the existing membership options on Foireann.

One of the first tasks a club administrator must undertake when setting up Foireann for the 2023 season is ensuring that the membership options offered by the club are; a) Correct and b) updated from 2022 to 2023.

The following steps will outline how an administrator can update the membership options listed on Foireann from 2022 to 2023 with as little effort as possible.

1. Navigate to the Membership section of Foireann via the main navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

2. If you have more than one Club/County or Independent Team listed within your profile, you will need to select the Club/County or Independent Team in which you wish to update the membership options.

3. Click on the Membership Options tab.

4. Within the Membership Options tab, you will see a button ‘Update For 2023 Season’. Click this to begin the migration process.

5. Within the modal, all membership options created by your club will be listed with the following information:

• Name
• Season
• Status
• Price
• Update to 2023?

Under the ‘Update to 2023’ column, you will notice that all membership options are automatically ticked. Please untick any membership option which you do not wish to update to 2023.

NOTE: Even after updating to 2023, you can still edit the membership options i.e change the price, payment methods etc or if you decide later that you don’t wish to offer the membership option in 2023, you can simply delete it.

6. Under the membership option list, you will see two options:

• Hibernate the old 2022 Membership Options
  • This option is automatically checked however it is optional.
  • This option essentially hibernates the current 2022 membership options so that they are no longer accessible for club members to register with.
  • If you wish to keep your 2022 memberships active then uncheck the option so that they remain active for members to select until the 1st of January 2023.

• Make the new 2023 Membership Options Active
  • This option is automatically checked however it is optional.
  • The option, if checked, will automatically update the 2023 membership options as Active so that club members can select and register for the upcoming season.
  • If the option remains unchecked, then the 2023 membership options will be given ‘Draft’ status so that you can review, make changes and update to active at a later stage.

7. Once you are happy with your decisions surrounding the membership 2023 options, you can click ‘Update Selected'

8. Once all membership options have a blue tick listed and the progress bar states 100%, then you can click the ‘Close’ button.

9. The membership options will be updated based on your preferences in the previous modal.

NOTE: You can still make edits to these membership options at any time by clicking the ‘Edit’ button.

NOTE: You can still add new membership options for 2023 by clicking the ‘Add Membership Option’ button and within the Season dropdown select 2023. 

NOTE: For LGFA, Camogie and Handball, clubs cannot pay the County, Province and Association fees for their 2023 memberships until the 1st of January 2023. Club members can register with the club however fees cannot be paid by the club to the Association until 2023.
