The Garda Vetting Process on Foireann
How to Create a Garda Vetting Application on Foireann
1. Log into your Foireann account and go to 'Profile'
2. Click on 'Qualifications & Vetting'
3. Click the 'Apply to be Garda Vetted' button
NOTE: You must have a Date of Birth listed on your Foireann account to apply for vetting |
4. Select the club and role you want to apply for and tick the boxes at the bottom.
Click 'Upload Your Documents'
5. You now need to upload a completed vetting application form in 'Section 1'.
In 'Section 2' upload at least two forms of supporting evidence e.g. passport, driving license
Download the Vetting Application Form
Once completed click 'Submit Vetting Application'
6. The application is now In Review by your club's vetting admin. If you made a mistake you can 'Cancel Application' to start over.

How to Create a Garda Vetting Application for a Child in Your Family
1. Log into your Foireann account and go to 'Family'

2. Select 'View' next to your child's name, this will bring you to their Foireann profile.
Note: No one under 18 should have a Foireann account (username & password). Parent/guardian must create an account and use the family feature. For more information see Adding Children/Dependents |
3. Click on 'Qualifications & Vetting'
4. Click the 'Apply to be Garda Vetted' button
NOTE: You must have a Date of Birth listed on your Foireann account to apply for vetting. Children must be aged 16 or over to complete Garda Vetting |
5. Select the club and role you want to apply for and tick the boxes at the bottom.
Click 'Upload Documents'
6. You now need to upload a completed vetting application form in 'Section 1'.
In 'Section 2' upload a form of supporting evidence e.g. passport
In 'Section 3' upload a completed parental consent form

How to Renew an Expired Garda Vetting Certificate
You can renew your Garda Vetting 3 months before the expiry date.
1. Log into your Foireann account and go to 'Profile'
2. Click on 'Qualifications & Vetting'
3. Click on 'Renew'
4. Select the club and role you want to apply for and tick the boxes at the bottom.
Click 'Upload Your Documents'
5. You now need to upload a completed vetting application form in 'Section 1'.
