- A Foireann profile with a linked account, i.e. a username and password
- Club Admin permissions assigned to your Foireann Profile
Creating a Foireann Profile
Creating your Foireann Profile is a simple two-step process where you first create your Foireann Account and then complete your Profile...
1. Navigate to the system - Foireann.ie and click on the register link.
2. Enter the relevant information into the required fields.
- Usernames must be unique, therefore please choose another username to create your account if you receive an ‘Invalid Username’ error message.
Verify your email address
3. Check your inbox and click on the link within the email.
- Please check spam or junk mail folders if the email does not appear within your inbox.
- We would recommend that you use an email address that is personal to you and not one associated with, for example, a job, a voluntary role or a school or college position.
Complete your profile
4. Enter the additional information into the mandatory fields.
5. To add your unit, i.e. your Club, School or College, you will need to select your Association (which is where you would select school or college etc. if required), County and Club from the dropdown options.
- You can have multiple units listed in your profile (GAA, LGFA or Camogie; Home Club and School / College Club; Parent Club or Independent Team)
Getting Club Admin Permissions on your Foireann Profile
Once you have completed your Foireann Profile, you can now get elevated permissions assigned to it by being made a Club Admin. Anyone that already has Admin permissions in the Club can assign these permissions for you following the steps below. If you don't have a Club Admin in place you can contact the Foirean Help Desk at foireann@gaa.ie, via an Official Club email address, being sure to provide your Foireann username, we can assign Admin Permissions to your Profile for you.
1. Navigate to the ‘Membership’ section of the system.
2. Click on the relevant club. (This is only applicable if you have more than one club linked to your profile).
3. Click on the Members tab.
4. Within the Members table, find the member you wish to assign administrative privileges to. Please note that this member MUST have a Green Tick displayed in the 'Phone/Computer' icon column. If they have a red 'X' displayed, please ask the member to create a Foireann account. They can do so by following the steps outlined HERE
5. Tick the checkbox beside the member you wish to assign administrative privileges to and click the ‘Member Actions > Update Permissions’ button at the top of the table.
6. Tick the appropriate admin option and click Update Permissions.
NOTE: You can assign multiple permissions to a member.
For a club's Children Officer, both Club Admin and Vetting Admin need to be selected.
7. The member will now be updated to an administrator on the Foireann System for your club.
