Is there anyway, bar trawling though each individuals membership history, of running a report to see what year's a member was registered or wasn't.

  I'm guessing that you may want to use this for statistical analysis or something like that.  We do exactly that in our club, and it is very useful in spotting trends regarding improvement or dis-improvement in retention.
  
  Filter this way:
  

  and then "Export Detailed Member Info".
  
  You will then see in "Memberships" column, all the registrations since 2010 for each member.  With one unfortunate exception that it is empty for hibernated members (we tolerate that, but it is a pity).  With a bit of IT skills, you can then process the downloaded CSV to produce useful summary information.

  Your a genius, tried it, got an error message, Unable to load user data: 500. Any ideas anyone

  I just now tried it again and it is still working for me.  We're a GAA club (if it makes any difference, in case your's might be Camogie or LGFA).
