Has he associated his Foireann profile with your club?

This is a common problem and there needs to be a better way than this.
A lot of clubs are using third party software to manage accounts and so members do not have a direct Foireann account themselves. So it is never as easy as asking the member to 'add your club' to his account.I am a registrar and I encounter this weekly and it always entails me having to contact the other club's registrar. Why can this not be something a registrar can do directly?
In the past I have had to contact the support desk sometimes to fix this but this year the support desk seems to be completely unstaffed. I have 3 open tickets with them (one for over 3 months) and not had a single response.0 -
Hi David.
This is the kind of reason why our club dropped the 3rd party system we had when we switched to Foireann - a for-purpose solution built specially to meet the needs of the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association.
Like any change, there's an initial hit - but it's worth it in the medium and long term. That was our club's experience anyway, and we have loads of club-overlap as we are a single code club.
I can imagine all sorts of reasons (both legal and practical) why a registrar of one club should not have access to the profiles of members of another club unless the member, a parent/guardian acting on their behalf, or the other club acting on their behalf, grants access (by adding the club to the member's profile).0
