Playing on permissions
We have a few players from a neighbouring club playing hurling with our club on permissions as there's no hurling at their age group in their home clubs. Do we need to include them in our club's Foireann?

As far as I know, yes, they do have to be registered with your club as members as well. that will then mean they are also on your Foireann

My reading of rule 6.7 (1) (b) is that a player playing on permission should be a registered player of his home club, and not of the club he has been granted permission to play for.
So that the permitted-club has access to the player's details (DOB, medical, contact, communication preferences), and independent assurance that the player really has been registered as a player in the calendar year with his home club, and so that the player can be added to the Foireann-printed teamsheet, it would be useful (and I assume it is how it is supposed to work) that the player's profile, and that of his parent in Foireann, have the permitted-club added as a club. In my experience (and this is probably why), the Foireann-printing of the teamsheet will recognize that the player is a registered player with another GAA club, and will omit the not-registered warning symbol on this basis.
I would be interested in any comment on the accuracy of what I have stated above, as we just now have one such case too.0
