We have a child who wants to transfer to us but the Foireann site will not allow inter county transfer Why is this

  I don't know the answer for a fact as I am just a GAA club registrar.  However, I expect it's because (at least in GAA) lots of counties have all sorts of county-specific bye-laws for transfers, and the time and cost (taking from other developments), and complex outcome, of encoding all those unique county-specific procedures and rules in an electronic process in Foireann was too much.
