Adult Player on Family Membership

As we are a small rural club we rely on fathers of youth players to tog for our junior team. However on family membership you cannot select the parents/adults as players. It automatically assigns them to non players. Therefore if the adult pays family membership, he also must register himself again separately as an adult Player. Shocked that foireann and the GAA haven't thought of this situation. Has anyone encountered this yet

  Foireann allows for this.  It seems more likely that the admin in your club who defined this family membership package option deliberately excluded the player option for the adult.  So contact your club admin about it.
  
  As a club admin myself, I understand why a club admin would place such a restriction.  In my experience, the more options that one provides, the greater the likelihood that somebody will pick the wrong one accidentally.  Additionally, it may be that the charge for an adult player vs an adult non-player is different and the club admin has no choice (the price for membership options being fixed - not a shopping-cart arrangement where one can add different priced registrations to a shopping cart and then check out them all in one go).

  My suggestion would be that if the changes for adult players and adult non-players are different, then your admin consider creating another "Family with one Adult Player" option, and in that option automatically have one of the adults a player.  I believe that will work in Foireann.
