Registering multiple members of the one family in one transaction.

is there a way of registering multiple family members in one transaction?

  There is, but the club admin has to create suitable membership options to do so.  For example one of the membership options in our club is titled "TWO non-playing adults, & ANY no. of Children in a Family".

  I wish there was a handier way to pay for multiple memberships in one transaction besides Admin having to creating all possible combinations... surely it is rather risky to have to input your card details numerous times instead of just being able to add membership options to a basket or something?

  Yes, a shopping basket approach would be handy.
  
  Because of the lack of a shopping basket approach, in our club what I do is not create all possible combinations - because members would be overwhelmed with the number of options.  What I do instead is create the combinations that would be used most frequently.  So in most cases, they have to do one purchase - but in a minority of cases they would have to do more than one purchase.
  
  I am guessing that the reason that a shopping basket approach is not used is because it would then open up the need for discounts based on what is already in the basket - and so the effort to do it right is substantial.  The team building foireann have so much else on their plate (probably more urgent things).  They can of course speak for themselves here (@moderator?) - and who knows the basket might be on the roadmap.
  
  Anyway, in the meantime, our experience has been that we can get by with it the way it is now by creating the common combinations but not all possible combinations.
