Overview
The following article outlines how a club administrator can request and manage a OneClub merge on Foireann.
As you know, the GAA, LGFA, and Camogie Association operate as three separate governing bodies. Members of your club may be registered with one or more of these Associations. Club Administrators can manage each code individually using a single login by switching between the LGFA, Camogie, and GAA versions of their Club. The system also offers the option to merge all three into a single unified Club, allowing LGFA, Camogie, and GAA membership to be managed through one centralised process.

What is a OneClub?
A OneClub is a unified club structure where the GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association), LGFA (Ladies Gaelic Football Association), and Camogie Association operate together as one single club, rather than as three separate organisations.
Under the OneClub model:
The Club has one shared identity (name, crest, colours, etc.).
All codes—GAA, LGFA, and Camogie—are run under one governance structure, usually with joint committees and aligned policies.
Membership is managed centrally, so members belong to one club entity rather than multiple related clubs.
Facilities, finances, development plans, and administration are all coordinated across the codes.

How to tell if a club is set up as a OneClub on Foireann
There are a few ways in which you can tell if a club is set up as a OneClub on Foireann.
Option A: Via Club Search
- Navigate to the Foireann system.
- In the top right hand corner, use the club search to find the club in question
3. The club will appear in the search and you will be able to tell if it's a OneClub or not, by the Association crests.
Example of OneClub
- Only one club should appear with multiple crests listed beside one another.
Example of Individual Clubs (Not a OneClub)
- Multiple instances of the same club will appear with separated Association crests
Option B: Via Member Profile Search
- Login to the Foireann system.
- Navigate to the profile section via the left hand side menu
- Scroll down to the 'Club(s)' section of the profile and you will be able to tell if a club is a OneClub or not, by the Associations listed.
Example of OneClub
- Only one club should appear with multiple crests listed beside one another.
Example of Individual Clubs (Not a OneClub)
- Multiple instances of the same club will appear with separated Association crests
How to request a OneClub merge
Because a merge cannot be undone, we must confirm that all affected Clubs agree to the change. Before proceeding, each Club involved must be:
a) fully aware of what the merge entails, and
b) satisfied to move forward.
To verify approval, we require written confirmation from an Official Club email address for each Club involved (e.g., the Club Secretary’s email).
The easiest way to do this is to email foireann@gaa.ie, copying in all relevant Official Club email addresses, and ask each Club to reply confirming that they approve the merge. No changes will be made until these confirmations are received.
What happens when a OneClub merge is completed?
Members: All members from each individual Club will be transferred to the Members List of the Club being retained as the “One Club.”
Membership Options: All existing Membership Options from each Club will be moved into the One Club’s Membership Options section.
Teams & Groups: All Teams, Groups, Coaches, and Players from each Club will migrate into the One Club’s Teams and Groups section.
Surveys: Surveys (e.g., Risk Assessments, Grant Applications, Club Compás) will be merged where possible. This depends on their status, and we may need to discuss which set of surveys to retain, as surveys are kept at a Club level rather than individually.
Admin Access: Anyone with Admin Access in an individual Club will retain the same level of access in the One Club.
Stripe Accounts: Stripe accounts for the merging Clubs will be disabled. Any remaining balances will be transferred to their associated bank accounts.
Which Club is retained after the merge?
We typically retain the Club that has an active Stripe account and/or the highest Stripe balance. However, survey submissions or Club preferences may influence this.
If you want a specific Club to be retained, please state this clearly in your confirmation email, and we will do our best to accommodate it.
| NOTE: The retained Club’s Stripe account becomes the only payment source for upstream registration fees. If this may affect your ability to fund upcoming payments, we recommend adding funds to that Stripe account in advance. |
