Overview
This guide walks you through the 4th step of the competition creation wizard. This step allows you to schedule the fixtures for the selected teams and specify notifications/referee settings.

1. Division Set Up
Enter the division details:

Division Name: This will be the name of the division (e.g., Perry Cup – League Division 1).

Division Abbreviation: Enter a short version of the division name (e.g., PCDV1).

Display Team Labels (optional): Toggle ON if you want team labels (Team A, B, etc.) visible in reports or fixture feeds.
| 💡 Note: The Area/Board will default to the unit in which you are logged in. |
2. Notification and Referee Settings
Toggle the appropriate options ON/OFF based on how you want Foireann to handle communications and match-day logistics.
Some common settings to enable:

Verify Match Official Availability: Sends an automatic message X days before each fixture (e.g., 5 days).

Enable Match Official to Opt Out

Enable Score Submissions: Referees can submit scores after the game.

Enable Fixture Reminders: Sends reminders to officials before the game (e.g., 2 hours before).
- Enable Referee Report Submissions: Send a notification to a referee asking them for the referee report of the fixture they just officiated. This will be sent an hour after the fixture starts.
Optional settings to enable:

Allow postponing or abandoning fixtures

Enable walkover confirmation

Trigger alerts if a referee doesn’t respond

3. Fixture Creation
Step 1: Choose Fixture Creation Option
You have two choices:
- Create Fixtures Using a Matrix (recommended)
- Manually Create Fixtures (for custom schedules)
If you have selected League/Knockout as the competition type, then you will have four options:
- Create League & Knockout fixtures using a Matrix
- Manually create League & Knockout fixtures
- Create League fixtures using a Matrix & manually create Knockout fixtures
- Manually create League fixtures & create Knockout fixtures using a Matrix
Step 2: Set Up Matrix (if selected)

Select Matrix: Choose the size of your matrix (e.g., 6 Team Matrix).

Reverse the Matrix (optional): This changes the home/away order.

Keep Existing Fixtures?: Use this if you’re making minor changes without deleting prior schedules.
Step 3: Assign Teams to Matrix
Under the Teams section:

Select each team from the dropdown for Team 1 to Team 6 (or however many teams you have selected based on the matrix).

Use Randomise Teams for automatic assignment.
Step 4: Set Round Details
Each round includes:

Round Name: E.g., Round 1, Round 2, etc.

Default Venue: Set to Home, Away, or a neutral location.

Fixture Date & Time: Optional — allows you to define an exact kick-off date/time.
If you don’t want to assign dates yet, check No exact date.
You MUST select 'Generate' to generate the fixtures.

4. Review and Generate Fixtures

Preview fixtures in the Generated Fixtures panel.

Check the fixture details to ensure accuracy.

Once ready, click Next
5. Next Step: Allocate Referees
Click the Next button (top-right corner) to save your fixtures. Then move on to Step 5: Allocate Referees
