This article will explain how a club admin can view which teams are covered under their PIF invoice for the current season on Foireann.
It is highly recommended that club administrators review the club's teams, apply clear suffixes (e.g. U16 Football – A / B), and align them with the PIF invoice so players select the correct team and claims can be processed without delay.

- You must have a club administrator's permissions for your club on Foireann
Why is reviewing teams important?
When players submit a Player Injury Notification (PIN), they must select their team.
- If teams are not correctly set up, players may choose a team not covered under the Player Injury Fund (PIF) invoice.
- Claims linked to non-covered teams cannot be processed by the Club Secretary or Injury Fund Administrator.
Best practice for team setup
Multiple teams at the same age level
Clubs may have more than one team in the same age grade and discipline (e.g. two U16 Football teams).
To distinguish between them, always use the Team Suffix field when creating or editing teams
Examples:
- U16 Football – A
- U16 Football – B
- U16 Football – Development
- U16 Football - 2025

- Helps players and admins select the correct team when submitting a notification.
- Reduces confusion when multiple age-level teams exist.
How to make sure your team set-up is correct
Step 1 – Review your teams
Log in to Foireann as a Club Admin. Go to Teams & Groups via the left-hand side menu.
Check the new PIF 2025 coverage list to see which teams are included.
Step 2 – Align your teams with PIF coverage
- Ensure that each age-grade/discipline team that exists in your club also appears in the PIF invoice if fielding this team.
- If duplicate teams exist, make sure the covered team is clearly labelled with a suffix.
Step 3 – Clean up non-covered or duplicate entries
- Delete or rename teams not covered by the PIF invoice to avoid confusion for players when submitting an injury notification.
- Update players’ team assignments so they are connected to the correct, PIF-covered team.

Step 4 – Communicate with members
- Inform coaches and players which team names to select.
- Remind members that the suffix is important when choosing their team for injury notifications.
