What access do you need for Player Injury Notifications
You will need to have Club Admin access linked to your Foireann account, and you must be listed as the Secretary or Injury Fund Administrator of the Executive Committee to be able to access the Injury Notification tab within the Administration section of Foireann.
| Note: Injury Fund Administrator is a system-generated role in the executive committee role. Please ensure you are selecting the Pre-made role when assigning access. |
Cleaning up PIF Teams
When players submit a Player Injury Notification (PIN), they must select their team.
If teams are not correctly set up, players may choose a team not covered under the Player Injury Fund (PIF) invoice and non-covered teams cannot be processed by the Club Secretary or Injury Fund Administrator.
Please check the new PIF 2025 coverage list to see which teams are included within your club.
Ensure that each age-grade/discipline team that exists in your club also appears in the PIF invoice if fielding this team.
Delete or rename teams not covered by the PIF invoice to avoid confusion for players when submitting an injury notification, and update the players to the correct teams so they are connected to the PIF-covered team.
What about claims outside of 60 days
There is a strict 60-day reporting requirement in place for claims reported to the GAA Injury Benefit Fund. The player or parent/guardian must notify the injury to the GAA unit within 60 days of the injury date; the Injury date is day 1.
If the injury is past the 60 days when the player or parent/guardian is trying to create the claim, they and/or the Club will need to contact Ciara Clarke (ciara.clarke@gaa.ie) to be able to claim for the injury.
What about claims before Foireann existed
Claims with a date of Injury pre 01/06/2025 (Old DWF claims) have been transferred to the Leeson Group. The Lesson group claims portal is available via this link: PACE Portal.
The user name for access to the portal is the club secretary's email address, and if the club has not logged in yet, you’ll need to reset the password using the ‘forgotten password’ link on the landing page.
If you have issues accessing the Portal, please email gaa.injury@leesongroup.com for assistance.
No Foireann account?
If you have received an injury and wish to claim for it, but you do not have a Foireann, please get in contact with your club, as they should have you registered with a Foireann profile, and they can invite you to log in to this profile if you provide them with your email.
How to invite a member to create a login to Foireann
Or you can create an account for yourself and ask your club to merge your two profiles so that you can have your membership linked to your account.
How to add a Club/County to your Foireann Profile
To add a Club and/or County to your Foireann account, you will need to log in to your account and go to 'Profile', and then scroll to the bottom to 'Your Clubs' and 'Add Another Club'
The parent has the family set up wrong?
Anyone under the age of 18 is not meant to have an active Foireann account (Username and password), and that account will not be able to apply for the Player Injury Fund. The parent/guardian will need to create a new account under their own name and create a Family Profile and a child profile for their child/dependant.
They will then need to contact their club to merge the child account into the child profile, so that the parent/guardian can create an injury Notification for the child/dependent.
How to apply for the Injury Notification for U18
If a child/dependant has received an injury, the parent/guardian will need to log into their account and go to 'Family' and click on 'View' beside the child/dependant's name - this takes them into the child/dependant's Foireann Profile. Once within the child's/dependants' profile, go to 'Player Actions' and 'Create an Injury Notification'.How to add a Club/County to your Foireann Profile
To add a Club and/or County to your Foireann account, you will need to log in to your account and go to 'Profile', and then scroll to the bottom to 'Your Clubs' and 'Add Another Club'
